Nils Johan Thorvald Thorsson (1898-1975) was a Danish painter and ceramist. Nils Thorsson was taught by artist and ceramist Hans Christian Joachim at the faience factory Aluminia in 1912. Aluminia has been a major part of Nils Thorsson's career as he became an artistic director here in 1933, which he was until 1969. From 1949 to 1969, Nils Thorsson was also involved in the Royal Porcelain Factory, where he conducted artistic supervision. Furthermore, Nils Thorsson is known for his international exhibitions in, among others, England, France, Austria and Brussels.
