Ole Wanscher (1903-1985) was an architect and professor with furniture art as specialty. Ole Wanscher started working for Kaare Klint in 1924, who also taught him at the Academy of Arts Furniture School, where he graduated from in 1929. Kaare Klint has had a great influence on the idiom of Ole Wanscher. His priority of perfect craftsmanship and good materials are also elements that can be seen in the work of Ole Wanscher. Like his teacher, Ole Wanscher influenced Danish furniture design as both designer and professor. Ole Wanscher designed furniture that was more conservative and classic than other known architects of the time. Some of Ole Wanscher's best known furniture designs are the Colonial Chair and Sofa and the OW150 daybed.
