The Danish architect Bodil Kjær (1932) is educated at the Danish Architecture School and at the Royal College of Art in London. Bodil Kjær mainly sees herself as an architect, but in addition to her work as an architect and interior designer, she has also created amazing work as designer. Particularly known is the BK desk, which Bodil Kjær drew just 27 years old in 1959. The desk has a sophisticated and tight expression and shows how Bodil Kjær had an international appeal at an early age. The BK desk achieved an early fame when it appeared in the James Bond films 'From Russia With Love' in 1963 and 'You Only Lives Twice' in 1967. Today, the BK desktop has gained an almost culinary status and has become a collector's item.
