Finn Juhl

Finn Juhl (1912-1989) as a designer had a big influence on the Danish design history. Finn Juhl graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1934 and worked as a teacher at the School of Interior Design from 1945 to 1955. Finn Juhl was strongly occupied by abstract art, and this interest inspired his furniture designs. His work is characterized by a sculptural and organic form, which is seen in all of his furniture including the Poet, Pelican and Baker couch.
