Mogens Koch

Mogens Koch (1898-1992) graduated from the Academy of Arts in Copenhagen in 1925 and was then a student of Kaare Klint. The work of Mogens Koch was based on thorough mathematical studies of functional requirements in order to find the most obvious and simple solution. This has resulted in several long-lasting furniture designs, including the Shelving system, the Folding Furniture and the Wing Chair. Mogens Koch has not only distinguished himself in furniture design but has also created silverware, typography, textiles and buildings.
