The Danish architect Viggo Boesen (1907-1985) is known for spreading the funkis style to a wider audience in Denmark and to be a decisive factor for its popularity in the 1930s. In addition to his work as a building architect, Viggo Boesen has also distinguished himself as a furniture designer. He especially created beautiful results with wicker furniture. Viggo Boesen began designing wicker furniture in 1936. The combination of the modernist style and the qualities of the material characterizes Viggo Boesen's design philosophy. Viggo Boesen has drawn several modernist wicker furniture and the Fox chair has in particular achieved great recognition.
